For this project, the goal was to create architecturally designed granny flats that were lightweight, cost-effective, and quick to build—perfect for small or challenging sites. The intricate timber design required extra attention to detail, with bolts and screws carefully hidden to achieve a clean, seamless finish.
To overcome the challenges of building on small sites, we used a modular construction approach, allowing sections to be built off-site and assembled on-site with precision. The result is a beautifully crafted, practical, and budget-friendly solution that showcases how GDS can deliver innovative designs even in tight or tricky spaces.
