One recent project we were pleased to be involved in was a storage shed extension for Warwick Meats at Molendinar on the Gold Coast. Engineering the Shed Extension
Industrial shed extensions require structural design of the portal frames or shed framing, along with the footings and slab that support them, and clean integration with the existing building. GDS provided the structural engineering for the extension, designing the framing, footings and slab to carry the required loads and suit the operational needs of the facility. Our Role as Structural Engineers
Our involvement included reviewing the proposed extension, assessing the existing structure, designing the shed framing, footings and slab, and issuing certified structural documentation for construction. We coordinated with the client and builder throughout, providing engineering advice to keep the project on track. GDS provides RPEQ-certified structural design and Form 15 certification for industrial and commercial building works.
